President Donald Trump continued his criticisms of Fox News on Monday, asserting that the network was disproportionately promoting Democratic candidates and their views in a bid to be “politically correct.”
Trump has long feuded with the network over its editorial decisions and alleged bias against him. He has, more recently, complained of the network giving the spotlight to progressive candidates like Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan.
“Fox spends more time defending Dumocrats, and putting on their views versus their Republican opponent, than at any time in the History of FoxNews. It’s ridiculous!” he posted on Truth Social. “FoxNews [sic] is trying too hard to be Politically Correct! Watch my big Kansas Rally today on RSBN. Great early coverage!”
Earlier this month, Trump complained about the network covering El-Sayed and Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn, “[a]ll they talk about is Dumocrat Jihadists like El-Sayed, with his softball interview by Martha MacCallum, and the like. She never interviews me like that.”
